[Comfort in the presence of Horror]

The way you say you created the track is very interesting, i liked a lot the emotional feeling that the acoustic sound gives combining to the ambient sound.
I understand that you say it is to set the scene for a horror game making a comfort / calm scene, but i imagine more using this as ost of a beautiful scene from a japanese samurai film, So I get the impression that the track can be used to accompany many environments. I liked the track a lot.

The melodies of the track are very catchy and funny to hear, i liked this track a lot.

As a feedback i think that you should make a more stong mixing for the track can sound with more "volume" (you know, more db on master channel for give an example).
I love how catchy the melody is and how it lends itself to repetition without tiring, but I would have liked more if you applied it to some other instrument / synth.

Got it! I'm still struggling to increase the volume of the track while limiting clipping. It's something I have to work on.

there is some kind of amen break in this track though! but you can mostly just hear snares because back in the day i sucked at mixing, and generally speaking this piece of audio is so extremely chaotic that... uhh, you get the point.
my old works are dogshit. poor mixing, poor eq-ing, etc.

I love how the track is chill and at same time is being so powerful, especially on their 1st drop, also i think that the title 1.5life is very good, I think it's an extravagant track and the title suits to their feeling.

The track has a sound with an aura of mystery that is quite highlighted, perhaps an ambient synth with a dark melody could enhance the track's ability to provoke a sensation of accompanying a horror scene, although I feel the theme is perfect for the menu of a game of that style. Yamaoka's influence is present and it is what I love most about this track, nice work :D

When the DnB reach their peak ar 0:48, was something amazing to hear (>u<)

This track have so many good proposals on their melodies and DnB sound, i love it!
A very interesting point of this track is the long intro (+1 minute), that is not something that you hear often, usually you hear intros that not pass from 30 secs, making this something very interesting.

Also i like a lot the melodies, makes a very good ambient and merges so good with the piano, conveys a beautiful feeling.

Lastly the amen break based drums are something that sounds poweful and on certain way unique, using a amen break for full DnB sequences is a very interesting idea that i loved a lot! (sorry, i probably will use that idea for my future songs hehehe)

Maybe my only negative point is that i would liked that the kick sounded a bit strong (the kick sounds very weak for me)

Overall, amazing song! you got my 10!

The amen break is actually a very nice way to enable the other elements of a song to shine. It’s hard to describe, but it doesn’t take up too much emotional space in the song. I like how it emphasizes the other elements. When you use it, my advice is just to make sure not to mix it too loud.
The kick could definitely be louder, I agree.
